Professional training at height
Giardini Fioriti organises training courses for tree climbers in cooperation with JardinSuisse. Our training paths combine classroom theory and intensive practice in trees, with the issue of recognised certificates.
All courses are taught by Mauro Piccione, an arborist with almost 30 years of experience, Regional Tree Climbing Instructor (Piedmont Region) and professional Mountain Guide, with over 10 years as a teacher of professional courses.
Basic Tree Climbing Course
The course aims to provide you with the technical knowledge required to safely carry out work within tree canopies. Classroom theory and intensive practice in the trees.
Programme
- Safety rules, equipment, knots and fundamental techniques
- In-tree practice with direct supervision
- Access and positioning techniques inside the canopy
- Use of personal protective equipment
- Training certificate upon completion
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Italian language
- At least 18 years of age
- Good physical condition
- No fear of heights
Controlled Felling Course
Advanced course dedicated to controlled tree felling with high safety standards. Rope and pulley lowering techniques, dismantling and planning in complex contexts.
Programme
- High-safety controlled felling
- Controlled lowering with ropes and pulleys
- Techniques on specimens with wide crowns
- Planning and stability assessment
- Assistance and rescue of a colleague at height
- Regulations and retention devices
Prerequisites
- Completion of the basic tree climbing course
- Certified knowledge of safe chainsaw use
